We just spent 5 days at this nice vacation house, a short walking distance from the beach in Kilifi. Nice house, simple but with all essentials one needs for a beach holiday stay. We walked to the beach every day, just 300 m and a nice walk, passing by the quiet Boabab Sea lodge hotel. Very nice white sandy beach, very clean, best swimming at higher tide as the the beach is very safe and therefore a little shallow for some distance. Just 4 souvenir shops at beach entrance, nice people. On weekdays you have the beach "for yourself". If looking for luxury accommodation and active nightlife, than one needs a bigger place and town, but we had a very enjoyable stay at this vacation house in Kilifi. Would go back anytime when around there again.

Our vacation at Kilifi Bofa Cottages was simply amazing. Kilifi is a hidden treasure in Kenya. As tourists flock to Mombasa, Kilifi remains quiet and peaceful. The cottages themselves were clean and well maintained. The plot is large and beautiful, and the beach that is a few minutes walk away, is simply spectacular. All in all, this vacation was extremely affordable, and undoubtedly memorable.

My niece and I stayed for a week, in August 2017, at the Chui cottage, of the Bofa Cottages in Kilifi. The cottage was very clean, well equipped, and totally functional. It is located in a large grass, tree covered, walled-in plot with a gate. There was a full-time caretaker. We felt very secure. The beach is a 3 - 4 minute pleasant walk away. The beach is awesome: white, white sand, palm tree lined, and clean. Between the cottage and the beach there is a hotel with swimming pools, bars, and a restaurant. We had a fabulous vacation, and are looking forward to returning when in Kenya next. I recommend this for anyone looking for a very reasonably priced, great beach vacation in Kenya.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a few days and nights at one of the Bofa Cottages in Kilifi in summer 2017. What was remarkable was that we found the peace and quiet we were looking for to decompress after the very hectic and demanding trip to Madagascar. The cottages are extremely comfortable, relaxing and peaceful with all needed amenities. My wife and I took long walks in the area. When we wanted the beach, we walked about three to five minutes to a wide, pristine, uncrowded white sand beach for walks and swimming. A few times we rode a tuk tuk to the town and to eat at various eateries. At the same time, we could do some shopping at the local supermarket for nuts, cheese and crackers, water and drinks.

We had a fantastic stay at Bofa cottage and highly recommend it to anyone. We were a group of 7 and came down for the Kilifi New years Festival 2017/18. We arrived to a clean house with all the appliances we needed. The location is perfect; close to the beach and only a short tuk tuk ride to town. The cottage care take John was very helpful and owner Saj was very accommodating and assured we had a great stay. The cottage is great value and we will be sure to stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the larger of KBC named Simba for 8 nights in March 2019. Situated off the main Bofa Road  in Kilifi, the cottages offer a stunning and tranquil location in a 2.4 acres of  leafy, lush and well-maintained grounds and gardens. The cottages are good value for money. Rustic by design the accommodation is spacious, clean, comfortable, safe and secure and adequately equipped for a functional and economical self-catering holiday on the much sought after idyllic coast line of Kenya. A new swimming pool is currently under construction and on completion will definitely make the cottages more attractive as an ideal holiday destination. We look forward to visiting again. John, the care taker, is friendly and helpful always at hand to fix any problems that may occur. We found all the local amenities such as a well stocked supermarket called Tuskys, a colourful town centre, Diamond Trust Bank branch with an ATM, a good range of restaurants and eateries and a nearby quaint little cottage industry ‘Hole in the Wall‘ shop selling home made produce like jams, chutneys, bread, eggs, fish and fresh juices easily accessible and sufficient for our needs. We very much enjoyed unwinding on the beautiful, unspoilt, pristine beach, only a 5 minutes walk away, its endless gleaming stretches of white sands, warm lagoons at low tide, amazing sunsets and taking long relaxing walks in the clean sea breezes. For those wishing to escape the everyday stresses and pressures of modern living, I would recommend a stay KBC and enjoy a memorable holiday. Our stay there proved to be most enjoyable, uplifting and restorative in the guaranteed  sun shine and warmth of this tropical paradise on the much sought after coast of Kenya.

Initially, we had no plans to travel far from Nairobi for the Xmas holidays. But when a chance offer to stay at Kilifi Bofa Cottages came up, we could not resist, and we are glad we went. What struck us on arrival was the location of the cottages nestled in a quiet and serene area, surrounded by many species of trees and flowers. Our Cottage Chui was homely, the pool very private that we and the kids would swim up until 7pm. The next morning, we took a stroll down to the beach which was clean. We even got some fish. During our stay, we were able to visit Malindi, Watamu and Mombasa on different days and be back in the cottage in good time for a swim. The owner Saj made sure were comfortable and John the caretaker was always at hand to help us. They made our stay memorable. The 4 days we anticipated to stay were not enough, so we extended just a bit longer to enjoy some more time and start the New Year 2021 in Kilifi. This was a pleasant surprise holiday for us. Now we have calendared it as one of our holiday destinations.
